Personal Loan Calculator

The Personal Loan Calculator is a very useful tool to help you calculate your personal loan’s weekly, fortnightly and/or monthly repayments, and total payable interest. Here’s how the Calculator is used:
  1. Enter the following details:
    • Loan amount: This is the amount of money you borrowed, otherwise known as the principal.
    • Interest rate: A percentage of the loan charged to you for use of the money you borrowed. This figure is provided by the institution you’re borrowing from.
    • Loan term: This refers to the duration of the loan.
  2. After inputting the details, click the drop-down menu beside “Repayment Frequency” to choose how frequently you pay for your loan. You can choose between “Weekly”, “Fortnightly” and “Monthly”.

The Calculator will then compute the amount of your payments for the selected period. For instance, if you select “Fortnightly” in “Repayment Frequency”, the Calculator will display the amount of your disbursements every two weeks.

The Personal Loan Calculator will also show your total interest payable for the duration of the loan. This refers to the entirety of the interest you have to pay for.
