Denied a personal loan?
Tuesday October 14, 2008
If you've applied for a personal loan and received a resounding no, don't despair. There could be a number of reasons you've been knocked back for a personal loan or a car loan.
Banks have varying criteria for lending out money for personal loans. If you don't receive a personal loan, it might be because of:
- Bankruptcy.
- Overdue accounts.
- Exceeding credit limits.
- Unemployment.
- Missed loan repayments.
If you have a bad credit rating, be aware that there are bad credit personal loans available. You may be required to offer up collateral, but by being approved for a bad credit personal loan, you may be able to improve your credit rating by not missing any repayments.
If it's car loans you're interested in, you may be required to use the car as collateral. Many banks require this, but bear in mind that banks will usually only offer a car loan for new model cards.
